This rapid response to confront these threats attracted the attention of the exhibition visitors and the official military and security delegations. Accordingly, JODDB revealed the new vehicular anti-drone system (Sky Storm) and the fixed (Saher) system, where the (Sky Storm) comprises of multiple sub-systems that include different types of radars, day and thermal surveillance cameras, in addition to JODDB jamming system. These systems can be used in security applications, border control and (VIP) protection, and to protect military and other critical sites.
Abu Al-Ragheb added that JODDB has designed, developed and manufactured multiple jamming systems, vehicular and stationary, to block radio signals of explosives, cellular communications and several devices signals. These systems are currently under mass production within JODDB to fulfil multiple orders, according to Abu Al-Ragheb.
Abu Al-Ragheb explained that JODDB, through the technology-transfer partnership with Aselsan Turkey, developed advanced thermal vision systems. This new generation is receiving great interest, especially among the elite forces in the armies and law enforcement agencies. The company is also exhibiting advanced border protection systems to detect and eliminate intrusions in all circumstances and under difficult weather conditions, through specialized radars and cameras that help border guards perform their tasks using modern technologies.
In the field of future technologies and fourth industrial revolution, Eng. Rateb Abu A-Ragheb said that according to JODDB`s vision and constant support for scientific research projects and the development of new projects related to smart technologies and advanced electronics, JODDB always seeks ways to utilize these technologies to develop new civilian and military solutions. JODDB pavilion has a booth that is dedicated to showcasing the Virtual Reality solutions. This includes the Virtual Reality Shooting Range that is utilized for training purposes through providing the trainees with a virtual environment that simulates reality in terms of location and use of real weapons that give the trainee the ability to carry out the required raid as if they were on the ground. It also gives full analysis of the trainees’ performance for evaluation purposes. Other virtual reality applications include simulation systems for industrial operations training such as welding and mechanics, which were developed specifically and customized for the Vocational Training Corporation. The pavilion also has multiple security applications based on algorithms that were developed by Jordanian expertise. In the future technologies field, Cyber Shield Academy, a cyber-security academy established and owned by JODDB presents to the visitors the multiple courses provided by the academy`s certified instructors.
Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB) is an incubator for future technologies and its applications through the projects and competitions held in this field by JODDB to support the national efforts, in the private and public sectors, in placing Jordan on the international map of countries exporting modern technologies and qualified youth in these fields.
