4 returning students, 2 truck drivers test positive for COVID19 on Wednesday
Nayrouz News Agency : Six people tested positive for COVID-19 in Jordan on Wednesday, including four students who returned from the UK and Egypt and are in quarantine at the Dead Sea and two truck drivers of Arab nationality who were confirmed to be infected at border crossings.

The new infections bring the total caseload in the Kingdom since the onset of the pandemic to 582, according to a statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Health Ministry and carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Two people were discharged from Prince Hamzah Hospital, leaving 128 patients still receiving treatment at hospitals around the Kingdom.

Around 4,000 coronavirus tests were administered on Wednesday, bringing the total number of samples tested since the beginning of the crisis to 127,307, the statement added.

The Health Ministry called on the citizens to abide by the government’s precautionary instructions, including wearing face masks and practising social distancing to reduce the risk of infections.
