Jordan records 4 new coronavirus cases
Nayrouz News Agency : The Kingdom on Saturday registered four new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number to 734, according to the Health Ministry.

Three of the four cases are among Jordanians who returned to Jordan from Afghanistan, Malaysia and the UK, while the fourth came into contact with an infected person in Irbid, according to a Prime Ministry statement.

On Friday, two COVID-19 infections were recorded, according to a statement issued by the government and the Ministry of Health.

 

Friday’s cases included a truck driver diagnosed at the Omari border crossing with Saudi Arabia and a Jordanian citizen who recently arrived in the Kingdom from Russia.

 

Ten patients recovered on Friday, while no recoveries were reported on Saturday.

 

Epidemiological investigation teams conducted 3,522 coronavirus tests on Saturday and 3,298 tests on Friday, increasing the total number of tests since the outbreak of the pandemic to 183,641.

The government is currently considering several recommendations by the National Anti-Pandemic Committee regarding the reopening of new sectors, including restaurants, cafes and mall restaurants, according to the Prime Ministry. 

The Aman application was launched for IOS smartphones for users to download, the government said, calling on all citizens to use the application.
