JOHUD family relief fund supported 4,000 vulnerable individuals since April
Nayrouz News Agency : The Goodwill Family Relief Fund, launched by the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), has provided support to 4,000 vulnerable individuals from 800 families across Jordan since its launch in April during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to a statement from JOHUD on Friday, families were provided with financial assistance through prepaid cards, enabling them to buy essential supplies for Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr.

The fund also distributed more than 2,000 food packages to families through its extensive network of community development centres.

Farah Daghistani, Executive Director of JOHUD, said in the statement: "This Ramadan, we have been able to bring some relief to families across the Kingdom thanks to the generous support of our donors and partners. We are now moving on to the Goodwill Relief Fund’s second stage, where we will expand the nature of support to have a more lasting impact.”

During the second stage, JOHUD will facilitate medical interventions, including vital medical supplies and surgical operations for the medically uninsured, assistance in establishing home-based businesses and home maintenance for those living in dangerous accommodation, the statement said.

JOHUD launched the Goodwill Family Relief Fund in April 2020 in response to the economic impact of the COVID-19  crisis and the repercussions facing some of the Kingdom’s poorest families, particularly those with no breadwinner or with family members with disabilities and children without a parent.

Those wishing to make a donation can visit www.johud.org.jo/donate, the statement said.
