The new cases included two from Amman whose source of infection is being investigated by special teams, while the third is an Iraqi national who has been staying in a quarantine hotel, according to a joint statement by the Prime Ministry and the Health Ministry.
Also on Thursday, seven patients recovered and were discharged from Prince Hamzah Hospital, while epidemiological investigation teams conducted 8,533 random tests nationwide, increasing the total number of tests to 400,933.
The statement, which classified the Kingdom’s epidemiological status as at a "moderate-risk level”, reiterated the importance of adhering to the Health Ministry’s precautionary measures, including wearing masks and maintaining physical distancing.
As the government continues to reopen sectors, the Health Ministry is expanding epidemiological investigations and contact tracing, and increasing the number of random tests.
