Despite the suspension of the free zone's work for two months, necessitated by the coronavirus crisis, the volume of cleared and reexported vehicles during the first-half of 2020 remained similar to the corresponding period last year, with some 50,000 vehicles.
The Zarqa free zone witnessed the clearance of 4,511 vehicles in June compared with 2,213 clearances during the same period in 2019.
A total 8,025 vehicles were reexported in June of 2020, compared with 3,826 vehicles in June of last year, he said
The statement attributed the increase in sales to the government's incentives provided to the sector in October of 2019.
