The new cases included two persons who contracted the virus from a COVID-19 patient in Irbid, who tested positive on Friday.
Among the new cases is a woman in her 60s from Irbid, whose source of infection is being investigated by special teams.
The fourth case is a man from Mafraq working at the Jaber border crossing, whose source of infection is under investigation.
Two Jordanians returning from abroad — one from Saudi Arabia and one from the UAE — who have been in quarantine at designated hotels, are among the new infections, according to a joint statement by the Prime Ministry and the Health Ministry,
Also among the cases were three Jordanian truck drivers who tested positive at the Omari border crossing.
The statement, which classified the Kingdom's epidemiological status as "moderate-risk level” added that no recoveries were reported on Saturday.
The statement also added that 5,827 virus tests were conducted on Satruday, bringing the cumulative number of coronavirus tests administered since the beginning of the crisis to 640,548.
The Health Ministry has also renewed its call on citizens to abide by precautionary measures, mainly wearing face masks and maintaining physical distancing, as well as warned against practices that violate public safety, mainly gathering of more than 20 people.
The ministry also urged the citizens to use the "Sahtak” (your health) application for smartphones, which provides users with the latest information and news related to the COVID-19 disease, in addition to "Aman” (Safety) application, which alerts users if they come into contact with a person infected with the virus.
