In his weekly address to the nation, the premier said that schools will reopen on September 1, "what will change is the occupational safety and health measures”, Razzaz said.
The premier noted that the Education Ministry has developed a safety manual for students and teachers.
The government is "determined” to tighten controls at all border crossings to protect staff members and curb the spread of COVID-19, he said.
Razza noted that his visit to the Omari border crossing on Saturday was meant to ensure the delivery of quality services and speed up infrastructure works.
Praising the public, the PM said: "Your commitment during the past period has pushed us to the wonderful level that we have reached, and we do not want to go back or experience a second wave."
The PM also touched on the government's measures towards preventing the spread of the coronavirus and plans to enhance healthcare services, ensure quality services in hospitals and healthcare centres.
Regarding the recent mass food poisoning incident in Balqa’s Ein Al Basha region, the PM noted that the committee probing the incident will issue its findings during the next 24 hours, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
