Nayrouz News Agency :

Following Royal directives, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Sunday instructed stakeholders at the Royal Medical Services (RMS) to provide Prince Hashem Hospital in Zarqa and Prince Rashid Hospital in Irbid with caravans to increase their bed capacities and provide them with specialised medical staff to deal with the COVID-19 crisis.

Huneiti also directed stakeholders to provide the two hospitals with field hospitals equipped with modern medical devices to enhance their capabilities in dealing with the pandemic.

The army chief also issued directives to dispatch caravans across the Kingdom to collect samples for COVID-19 test to save time and efforts and increase the number of daily tests conducted by the epidemiological investigation teams.

Huneiti also listened to a briefing by RMS Director General Brig. Gen. Adel Wahadneh and other specialists about the developments in epidemiological situation and ways to deal with it, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The army chief praised "the great efforts” of the RMS during the crisis and the advanced level of its personnel in offering medical services to patients in the Kingdom and abroad.

Wahadneh said that the RMS, all its hospitals and comprehensive medical centres are fully prepared to enhance medical services presented to patients while dealing with the pandemic.
