Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Tuesday telephoned Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Miqdad and offered condolences over the passing of foreign minister Walid Muallem.

Safadi wished Syria and its people safety, security and stability, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
