Pakistan Navy Ship Zulfiquar visited Aqaba, Jordan as part of overseas deployment to the region. PNS ZULFIQAR Port Call to Aqaba was aimed to strengthen friendly ties and defence cooperation between Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
During ship's port call to Aqaba, professional and social interactions with Jordanian military and civilian officials were held. Prominent dignitaries included Commander Royal Jordanian Naval Force, Executive Manger of Aqaba Development Corporation and Commissioner Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority.
During these interactions besides professional discussions both sides shared enormous goodwill and warmth that characterizes the friendly relations between the two peoples and Armed Forces. Jordanian dignitaries lauded Pakistan Navy’s vital contributions in maintaining peace and stability in the region through its maritime security operations.
Before sailing off, PNS Zulfiquar conducted joint training activities with vessels of Royal Jordanian Naval Force in territorial water of the Hashemite Kingdom. The well-coordinated exercise contributes to further the strong training cooperation between the two Armed Forces.
PNS Zulfiquar’s visit was conducted in fullest regards to global and local pandemic situation and all activities were conducted under prevailing health protocols. Visit by PN Ship under such restrictive / challenging conditions highlights the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
PNS ZULFIQUAR Overseas Deployment to Jordan will bring further warmth and goodwill in existing bonds of friendship and defence cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
