Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Tuesday received the Audit Bureau's 2019 report on key violations and malpractices in government entities.
During a meeting with Audit Bureau President Asem Haddad, the Prime Minister pledged that his government will address any violations and shortcomings listed in the report to preserve the safety of public money and curb such violations in line with royal directives in the Letter of Designation and the Speech from the Throne opening the extraordinary session of the 19th Jordanian Parliament.
He also underscored the commitment of the government and its institutions to fully cooperate with the Audit Bureau and quickly respond to inquiries about any violations that occur in any of the entities under its jurisdiction.
Khasawneh pointed out that since forming his government, he has been keen on visiting the Audit Bureau and other oversight institutions, stemming from a firm belief in the key role of "this national institution," calling it a "cornerstone" of the national integrity system.
For his part, Haddad highlighted the Bureau’s commitment to achieving its goal of preserving public money and ensuring legal and effective management in government institutions.
