A 12-year-old Jordanian girl has embarked on a journey of giving by contributing her earnings from an online beaded accessories business for a noble cause.
Yasmine Qubain has donated over JD6,000 over the span of a year to the King Hussein Cancer Centre, describing the feeling of giving as "priceless”.
She started Jazzbeads, an online beaded accessories business in October 2019, with the aim of "giving back to society”.
Yasmine told The Jordan Times that she will continue to work hard "for her cause as many families have experienced the loss of someone close to their heart”.
She finds time to engage in her passion mainly on weekends or after her homework is done during weekdays, adding that people are "very understanding” when it comes to the timing of delivering their orders, "as buying from Jazzbeads is always a win-win situation”.
"People buy accessories and at the same time help cancer patients. Imagine how a simple act of donation has changed the life of a child, a parent, or even a friend,” Yasmine said.
"Once you start giving, you cannot stop. It is this kind of joy that makes me sleep at night.”
