Taxpayers get JD85mln in rebates in 2020
Nayrouz News Agency : About 65,000 taxpayers have received income and sales taxes rebates totaling JD85.5 million since the beginning of the current year, according to the Income and Sales Tax Department (ISTD).

About JD53 million of the amount was paid in cash while JD32.5 million was paid through clearing, Hussman Abu Ali, ISTD Director-General, said in a statement Sunday. During December, he noted, the department transferred rebates to a total of 14,000 taxpayers.

Abu Ali indicated all of the amounts were transferred to the bank accounts of the income and sales taxpayers, stressing that clearing procedures enabled corporate and individual taxpayers to pay off their payables using their receivables.
