Nayrouz News Agency :

A total of 367 charity associations, centres and institutions that provide care for orphans, the elderly and people with disabilities on Sunday received Royal support on the occasion of His Majesty King Abdullah’s birthday, with the aim of enabling them continue offering their services to the targeted segments.

His Majesty is always keen on improving the quality of living conditions of citizens and developing the level of services presented to them, as well as speeding up the development process and distributing its gains fairly across the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi, during the handing in ceremony that was held virtually for the first time, said that despite the pandemic, the continuous Royal directives highlight the importance of going on with implementing Royal initiatives, including those targeting institutions that offer services to the orphans, people with disabilities and the elderly.

Issawi, who is also head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal initiatives, said that turning challenges into opportunities is a Royal vision that paves the way towards the future through the utilisation of available technologies to enhance partnership and benefit from the accumulating expertise.

Youth Minister and Acting Social Development Minister Muhammad-Salameh Nabulsi said that the Royal support to these institutions is aimed at enabling them to continue providing services to the most vulnerable segments according to "clear standards and basis that guarantee justice and fair distribution among various regions of the Kingdom”.

Representatives of beneficiary institutions expressed their gratitude to King Abdullah for this generous gesture that reflects the King’s keenness on the empowerment of these segments.
