Pleasant springlike weather forecast today
Nayrouz News Agency : A slight rise in mercury levels is forecast on Tuesday, becoming around seasonal average and bringing moderate spring-like weather conditions across much of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley and the Gulf of Aqaba where it will be warm.

The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily weather forecast that daytime temperatures will range between 16 and 20 degrees Celsius, particularly in the highlands. At night,it will be colder as mercury slide to 8C or even 2 in the southern highlands.

In the Red Sea port of Aqaba and much of the Jordan Valley, including the Dead Sea, it will be warmer with highs in the 27-29C vicinity.

On Wednesday, temperatures are forecast to dip few degrees, so it will be relatively cold in the hilly areas and plains, and fair in other regions, with low clouds in the northern and central highlands, and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the department added.

As we head into Thursday, the Kingdom will be affected by a cold and wet air mass, pushing mercury 3-4 degrees below annual average and making cold conditions in most areas of the country, while it will be mild in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the forecasters predicted.

Clouds at low altitude are also expected to build up and there could be a chance of light showers of rain in the northern areas, the department further said.
