His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday received UK Chief of Defence Staff’s Senior Adviser to the Middle East and North Africa Air Marshal Martin Sampson.

Discussions at the meeting covered the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United Kingdom, and means to boost defence cooperation, as well as regional and international efforts to counter terrorism, according to a Royal Court statement.

The meeting addressed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

The King congratulated Air Marshal Sampson on his new position, 

For his part, Air Marshal Sampson expressed best wishes to His Majesty on the occasion of the centennial of the Jordanian state, according to the statement.
