Nayrouz News Agency :
Head of the Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) Fathi Jaghbeer on Wednesday called for enhancing partnerships and coordination with the Iraqi embassy in Amman to ease the flow of Jordanian exports to the Iraqi market.

During his meeting with Iraqi Ambassador to the Kingdom Haider Al Athari, Jaghbeer said that Iraqi market is a major destination for Jordan-made products, which requires increasing coordination with the Iraqi side to discuss the obstacles and challenges in this arena, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

According to a statement from the chamber, Jaghbeer, who is also head of Amman Chamber of Industry, said that the Kingdom’s exports to Iraq in 2020 totalled $627 million, marking an increase of 4.5 per cent, compared with 2019, while imports reached $17 million. Athari, during the meeting, went over the measures taken to ease traders and investors’ entry to Baghdad, expressing readiness to boost coordination with the JCI to address any obstacles that may hinder trade between the two countries.
