His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday stressed the need to consider measures to balance safeguarding public health and mitigating the impact of COVID-19 restrictions to jumpstart the economy.
Chairing a National Policies Council (NPC) meeting attended by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, King Abdullah noted the importance of continuing to maintain public safety measures to limit the spread of the virus and enable Jordan to reopen sectors in the summer, according to a Royal Court statement.
At the meeting, attended by HRH Prince Feisal, adviser to His Majesty and NPC chairperson, His Majesty was briefed by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh and a number of officials on the latest developments in the epidemiological situation and measures to address it.
