Nayrouz News Agency :
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and his Libyan counterpart Najla Mangoush on Wednesday held phone talks that focused on enhancing bilateral ties and efforts to solve the Libyan crisis.

The two ministers expressed keenness to follow up on the outcomes of the phone call between His Majesty King Abdullah and Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya Mohamed Al Menfi on Tuesday, as part of solid ties between the two countries, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

Safadi congratulated his Libyan counterpart on assuming office, renewing the Kingdom’s welcome for the Libyan government term under the leadership of Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibeh and wishing the government success in ending the crisis and restoring security and stability.

The Kingdom will continue supporting all Libyan efforts aimed to reach a political solution that Libyans agree on and can protect the country, realise the aspirations of its people and maintain its security and stability, Safadi stressed.

Mangoush acquainted Safadi with the latest developments in Libya and efforts aimed to unify Libyan institutions, as well as the role of the incumbent government in administrating the transitional phase until reaching the elections slated for December 24, 2021.

The two ministers also voiced keenness to develop bilateral relations in all fields in a way that serves both countries’ joint interests.

The Libyan minister praised the Kingdom’s stances that support her country and the political route that seeks to overcome the crisis, stressing Tripoli’s keenness to develop "brotherly” ties with Amman at all levels.
