Gov't reduces curfew hours

Govt reduces curfew hours
Nayrouz News Agency :
The government on Sunday announced that curfew hours will be reduced from the first day of Eid Al Fitr with the country witnessing a considerable drop in the number of coronavirus cases and fatalities.

Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh issued a communiqué based on the Defence Order according to which curfew will begin 11pm to 6am for individuals and 10:00pm to 6:00am for institutions instead of 7:00pm and 6:00pm except for establishments whose working hours are dictated otherwise by the prime minister.

The government confirmed that this measure comes within the framework of the safe, gradual measures that the government takes according to the epidemiological situation, aiming to reach a safe summer in which most sectors and economic conditions have returned to normal.

The government affirmed that it would continue to balance between preserving public health and sustaining economic activities.

Achieving a safe summer means opening most sectors at the beginning of next July and returning to schools and universities next September which would coincide with reaching advanced stages in giving vaccines to the general public.
