Over the years, Mrs. Widad Kawar has collected heritage pieces that include traditional costumes, ancient ornaments, jewelry, and brass.  An Embassy team visited the three installed exhibits at TIRAZ museum, "Splendor of Palestine,” "Treasures of Jordan,” and "Glory of Syria.”  These three collections encapsulate the beautiful art and unique identity of Arab cultural heritage.  Some pieces are more than 100 years old, and each piece tells a story that highlights the artistic styles that distinguished each country--the art of embroidery in Palestine, the art of weaving in Jordan, the art of cloth dyeing techniques in Syria.  The museum takes you on a tour across land, civilization, and history.  Many thanks to Mrs. Widad Kawar, founder of Tiraz Museum, and her colleagues for welcoming our Embassy team!
