Minister of Agriculture Khaled Hneifat on Wednesday met Regional Representative of the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service Elizabeth Mello. Talks during the meeting went over the Jordanian-US cooperation in the field of agriculture, notably the US wheat grant-supported projects, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Hneifat highlighted the importance of joint and US-funded projects in the Kingdom, mainly those in connection with water harvesting, veterinary quarantine and the pesticide residues laboratory project in the Jordan Valley.

The US official expressed support for the ministry’s efforts towards improving the agriculture industry in the Kingdom.
