Pakistan Navy Ship Zulfiquar visited Aqaba, Jordan from 21-24 June 2021. The main purpose of the special port call was to present compliments of the people and government of Pakistan to our Jordanian brethren on the occasion of their centennial celebrations. In line with improved health situation, and safe summer initiative of the Jordanian government, the Pakistan Navy on behalf of Pakistan Armed Forces paid the tribute to Jordanian people and Armed Forces by holding joint special parade during the ship’s visit. PNS ZULFIQAR Port Call to Aqaba reflects the strong friendly ties and defence cooperation between Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

During ship's port call to Aqaba, professional and social interactions with Jordanian senior military and civilian officials were held.

During these interactions besides professional discussions both sides shared enormous goodwill and warmth that characterizes the friendly relations between the two peoples and Armed Forces. Jordanian dignitaries lauded Pakistan Navy’s vital contributions in maintaining peace and stability in the region through its maritime security operations.

A special reception / dinner was hosted by PNS Zulfiqar which was attended by the senior officers of Jordan Armed Forces, dignitaries from government and corporate establishments in Aqaba, Ambassadors and Defence Attache corps members based in Amman, besides officials of Embassy of Pakistan in Jordan.

Before sailing off, PNS Zulfiquar conducted joint training activities / exercise with vessels of Royal Jordanian Naval Force in territorial waters of the Hashemite Kingdom. The well-coordinated exercise contributes to further the strong training cooperation between the two Armed Forces.  

PNS ZULFIQUAR Overseas Deployment to Jordan will bring further warmth and goodwill in existing bonds of friendship and defence cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
