King checks on government measures to reopen education sector
Nayrouz News Agency :
His Majesty King Abdullah checked on measures taken by the government to reopen the education sector and resume in-person learning.

At a meeting on Sunday at Al Husseiniya Palace, attended by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, King Abdullah was briefed on the remedial revision programme for students to make up for the closure of schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a Royal Court statement.

His Majesty stressed the importance of raising students' awareness of the remedial period, which started on Sunday, and ensuring their attendance.

The King said back-to-school measures should ensure students receive a full learning experience while maintaining their safety, noting the need to urge all to adhere to safety measures and to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh and a number of senior officials briefed His Majesty on the government's measures in preparation for the new scholastic year, as well as progress made in implementing the National Strategy for Human Resources Development.
