His Majesty King Abdullah on Saturday met with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership.
The two leaders stressed the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation on various issues of mutual concern, as well as bolstering cooperation in all fields, according to a Royal Court statement.
King Abdullah lauded the efforts of France and President Macron in support of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership.
Discussions also covered the latest developments in Lebanon, with the two leaders stressing the importance of continuing joint efforts to support the stability of Lebanon.
The meeting addressed efforts to reach political solutions to regional crises.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, General Intelligence Department Director Maj. Gen. Ahmad Husni, and Jordan’s Ambassador to Iraq Montaser Oklah Alzoubi attended the meeting.
