King receives top Tawjihi achievers

 Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania, on Monday at Al Husseiniya Palace, received top General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) achievers for the 2020-2021 scholastic year.

King Abdullah congratulated the students on their success despite challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, urging them to pursue degrees that meet labour market needs, according to a Royal Court statement.

His Majesty lauded the role of parents and teachers in supporting academic excellence, especially during the pandemic, noting the importance of the return to in-person learning at schools with the upcoming start of the new scholastic year.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi and Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Mohammad Khair Abu Qudais attended the reception.
