deaths and 489 infections were recorded across the Kingdom Saturday, with a 2.37 per cent positivity rate of tests carried out across the Kingdom, according to the Health Ministry.
The new fatalities raised the death toll to 10,542 and the caseload climbed to 806,501 since the pandemic began, it said in its daily brief.
It said that a total of 3,562,904 people have taken the first Covid-19 vaccine shots and 3,076,704 received both jabs.
The ministry said that the number of currently active Covid-19 cases reached 12,151, including 73 that were admitted to hospitals today, while 39 were discharged. The total number of confirmed cases being hospitalized reached 528 cases, it said.
The report showed that the occupancy rate of isolation beds in the northern region was 11 per cent, intensive care beds 15 per cent respirators 7 per cent.
In the central region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was 16 per cent, intensive care beds 25 per cent, and respirators 9 per cent, it said.
In the southern region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was 7 percent, intensive care beds 13 per cent and respirators 10 per cent, according to the report.
It also said that 811 coronavirus patients have recovered, bringing the total number of expected recoveries after the end of the 14-day isolation period to 783,808.
It said 20,664 PCR tests were collected countrywide today, bringing the total number of swab tests carried out since the start of the epidemic to 9,552,258.
