The Ministry of Health said Saturday it recorded nine coronavirus deaths and 548 infections across the Kingdom, bringing the death toll from the pandemic to10,736 and the caseload to 825,245.
The positivity rate of PCR tests collected today was 2.65 per cent, according to the daily media brief by the ministry.
It said that the number of currently active Covid-19 cases stood at 12,564, with 63 admitted to hospitals and 44 discharged today, and the total number of confirmed cases currently being hospitalized was 460.
It pointed out that the occupancy rate of isolation beds in the northern region was 9 per cent, intensive care beds 22 per cent and respirators 10 per cent.
In the central region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was 12 per cent, intensive care beds 24 per cent and respirators 10 per cent, it said.
In the southern region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was 9 per cent, intensive care beds 9 per cent and respirators 5 per cent, according to the report.
It also said 920 Covid-19 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of expected recoveries after the end of the 14-day isolation period to 801,945.
The ministry said 20,716 PCR tests were collected, bringing the total since the beginning of the pandemic to 10,122,069.
It said some 3,720,605 people have taken the first virus shot and a total of 3,298,920 have been double-jabbed.
