The Football Association denied receiving a response from the Asian Football Confederation regarding the Jordanian request to verify the gender of the Iranian women's goalkeeper.

 The Football Association had addressed the Asian Confederation to request verification of the gender of the Iranian goalkeeper, who played against the women's national team in the decisive match in the Asian qualifiers held in Uzbekistan recently, and ended with Iran's victory on penalties.

 The Football Association's media director, Muhammad Ayasra, said that the federation did not receive any response from the AFC in this regard, denying the validity of the news circulated about the Asian announcement of the verification results that confirm that the Iranian goalkeeper is a female.

 Ayasra indicated to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the federation did not receive any response from the AFC, and that the latter did not issue any comment on this matter, waiting for the official response.
