Prime Minister Bishr Khasawneh announced Thursday the launch of a slew of royal initiatives in the Karak governorate, in the presence of the Royal Hashemite Court Chief Youssef Issawi.
The initiatives come in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II to improve the standard of living and services provided for citizens across the Kingdom and stimulate the investment environment.
The initiatives include: building 100 housing units for poor families; establishing a factory which would create about 200-400 job opportunities and supplying the necessary transportation for it; establishing a care and rehabilitation center for people with special needs and developing the Prince Faisal Sports Complex.
The Prime Minister also announced that the government with construct and pave the 15-km Mohy-al-Abyad road and expand, construct and pave the 15-km-long al-Qasr-al-Rabba road, as well as establishing the al-Marj and al-Salihiyah elementary mixed schools.
During a meeting with figures from the southern governorate, Khasawneh underlined that his visit to Karak aims at improving the services provided to citizens.
