The project to improve water productivity and livelihoods in the Jordan Valley region, funded by the Dutch government in cooperation with the Institute of Water (IHE_DeIft), implemented by the Directorate of Water and Soil Research.
Mazahreh stressed the importance of this workshop in introducing the participants to the most important good agricultural practices for the optimal use of water resources, in terms of designing and maintaining drip irrigation networks, soil fertility, fertigation with irrigation, non-traditional water and water sources for agriculture in Jordan, irrigation water quality, irrigation scheduling, and Water productivity improvement, through a field day.
For her part, Dr. Luna Al-Hadidi explained the importance of this workshop, which targeted agricultural engineers in the Jordan Valley, and lasted for four days, because of its importance in facing water challenges and climatic changes, which will positively affect the agricultural sector and the added value of the product to enhance food security.
