Rotation system in schools to be resolved in next academic year: Ministry
Nayrouz News Agency :

Education Ministry Secretary General, Najwa Qubailat, said that the ministry is seeking to find final solutions to the rotation system in schools at the beginning of the first semester of the next academic year 2022/2023.

Qubailat told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that these solutions will be implemented after receiving a number of schools and new buildings, or renting school buildings in a number of governorates, or transferring education in a number of schools to a double shift system (morning and evening).

She added that there are 286 schools still operating in a total rotation system for all classes and 378 schools operating in a partial rotation system, with a specific number of classes, serving 270,352 male and female students.

She pointed out that the partial rotation system in a number of schools will have quick solutions by switching between classrooms in the same school, and allocating an area of less than 80 centimeters for each student in the classroom.

Qubailat explained that all school buildings that will be tendered will be according to new building codes that require providing an estimated space of 190 centimeters for each student in the classroom, and in accordance with the inclusive education strategy that seeks to integrate students with disabilities with their peers in the classroom.

The Ministry of Education had announced during the Eid al-Fitr holiday that school hours would return to their usual times, in normal schools and double shift ones.
