The University of Jordan's (UJ) Center for Strategic Studies (CSS, on Wednesday, announced the results of the 2nd periodic poll on Jordan's foreign policy, as part of the Jordanian 'Street Pulse' series, sought to examine Jordanian citizens' opinions on the country's foreign policy and their satisfaction in this regard.

According to the CSS survey, 35% of the national sample and 55% opinion leaders polled said they rely on TV 'most often' to obtain Jordan-related political news.

In addition, 35% and 29% of the national and expert samples, respectively, rely on the Internet to get Jordan-related news, of whom 99% opinion leaders surveyed follow the Kingdom's foreign diplomacy news, the survey showed.

In a row, 87% and 92% of the national and expert samples view the Palestinian cause 'the most important' problem facing the Middle East, up by 10 points, compared to the February 2022 poll, the poll revealed.

Meanwhile, 33% and 15% of the expert and national samples said focus on resolving the Palestinian cause and preserving Al-Aqsa Mosque sanctities are the top priorities of Jordan's foreign diplomacy that should receive top attention at the current stage, the poll noted.

14% and 12% of the national and expert samples think that focus should go to preparing Jordan's investment environment and improving the economic situation. 29% of the opinion leaders believe that priority of Jordan's foreign policy should focus on Arab issues and seek pan-Arab unity, the poll showed.

Moreover, 46% and 58% of the expert and national samples, respectively, said Jordan should reduce relations level with Israel at the current stage, while 39% and 26% believe that Jordan should maintain the level of current relations with Tel Aviv, the poll noted.

36% of Jordanians and 70% opinion leaders expressed their satisfaction with Jordan's position taken in relation to the Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque, the poll said.
