Germany's Federal Employment Agency (BA) on Thursday said that it is currently working on expanding cooperation with its Jordanian partners to attract Jordanian talents to work in Germany.

During a meeting with a number of Jordan Industry Chamber (JCI) Board Members, head of the BA International Department Markus Bircher said there is a high demand for qualified youth from various majors in the German labor market, noting that his country had launched the sustainable recruitment of nurses program (Triple Win) in Jordan, in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), to provide job opportunities for Jordanians in the nursing sector.

He added that the program attracts talents from a number of countries, including Jordan, which was chosen after studying its educational process, noting that those who want to work in Germany have to pass a German language level test that should be accredited by the German authorities.

JCI's Vice Chairman Ahmed Khodari stressed the importance of furthering cooperation with Germany to develop training programs for many industrial majors to cover the needs of the industry sector.

For his part, JCI's Member of the Board of Directors Sa'ad Yassin valued German support for Jordan, commending the role of the German-Jordanian Economic Cooperation Office since its establishment eight years ago in advancing economic ties between the two countries and organizing forums and meetings.

He added that JCI seeks to promote Jordan as a country rich with human talents and resources. The chamber's responsibility is to provide job opportunities for Jordanians, thus reducing unemployment percentages in the Kingdom, he added.

Director-General at JCI Nael Al-Husami noted coordination with the German-Jordanian Economic Cooperation Office to organize meetings that brought together the National Company for Training and Employment, the Vocational Training Corporation, the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission, syndicates of engineers, doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, and BA to discuss the employment of Jordanians in various sectors in Germany.
