 Jordan's oil bill went up by 69.9 per cent in the first third of 2022, compared to the same period of 2021, the Department of Statistics (DoS) said on Thursday.

According to DoS foreign trade data, the value of the oil bill in the January-April period of 2022 stood at JD1.068 million against JD629 million in the same period of 2021.

Mineral fuels and other mineral oils topped the list of Jordan’s oil imports, amounting to JD378 million, followed by diesel with JD248 million, the DoS figures showed.

Meanwhile, Jordan's crude oil imports amounted to JD220 million, followed by gasoline with JD203 million, kerosene with JD9 million, and lubricants with JD10 million, DoS data revealed.
