General Director of the Cities and Villages Development Bank Osama Al-Azam, and Director of the Economic Development and Sustainable Energy Project in Jordan Mohammad Ramadan signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at building on the sustainable development programs experience in providing energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions, according to Ad-Dustour News.
Monday’s memorandum reinforces the bank's role in realizing the Royal vision and aspiration for the development of renewable energy projects within the municipal sector through the bank's implementation of the project Energy Efficiency in Municipalities (MEEP), funded by the European Investment Bank with 45 million euro, aimed at improving the efficiency of the use of renewable energy and drawing on the experience and expertise of the project "Economic Development and Sustainable Energy in Jordan” (SEED), funded by the Canadian government.
The goal is to develop communities by raising awareness and applying energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions.
The memorandum provides for the transfer of expertise and knowledge within the project, and for the review of lessons learned from project implementation in the technical, contractual and environmental areas
