The Public Security Directorate announced the injury of an anti-drug officer during a security raid in the Ramtha District of two drug dealers, which resulted in the arrest of two drug dealers and the injury of one of them.
The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said that an investigation team from the Anti-Narcotics Department identified, on Sunday evening, the whereabouts of two drug dealers in one of the Ramtha districts, as a security force raided them inside their vehicle.
He confirmed that the two drug dealers fired live shots at the force that applied the rules of engagement, as a result of which one of the officers was hit by bullets, after which he was treated and is still under treatment.
While the security force managed to control and arrest them, and it was found that one of them was hit by a live bullet in the foot, and a paramedic was taken to the hospital, and 25,000 narcotic pills and two firearms were seized in their possession.
He said: The Public Security Directorate calls for a speedy recovery for the injured officer, to confirm that it continues to pursue drug dealers and smugglers and stop their criminal activities.
The Directorate stressed that it will remain an impenetrable dam in the face of death dealers, and that the sacrifices made by the public security men are a sacred duty in order to protect the homeland from a stray and criminal group that targets its security and the safety of its children, stressing that its war on drugs will continue and will not end until they are eliminated and their evils are cut off.
