Irbid Council discusses education needs in the Northern Jordan Valley

The Education Committee of the Irbid Governorate Council discussed, during its meeting today, Sunday, with the Director of Education of the Northern Jordan Valley, Dr. Fatima Talafha, in the directorate building, the reality and needs of the educational sector and the priorities of its work within the council’s follow-up to assess the reality of the various sectors’ projects.
The head of the Education Committee, Dr. Ahmed Miqdadi, stressed, during the meeting, in the presence of members of the provincial council, Oqab Al-Awadin, Mustafa Al-Nimrat and Ali Al-Talawi, the provincial council's keenness to give the education sector the required importance on the order of priorities in order to improve the educational process, which is reflected in the development of local communities.
He indicated that the provincial council allocated in its budget an amount of 200,000 dinars for the education sector in the northern Jordan Valley, including 130,000 dinars for the establishment of the Seil El-Hama Basic Mixed School, in addition to 70,000 dinars allocated to the maintenance of needy schools.
Miqdadi pointed to the importance of coordination and cooperation between the provincial council and the directorates of education in order to implement the projects allocated in the council's budget for the current year and to plan future projects on the next year's budget, especially with regard to securing schools with their necessary needs.
Al-Talafha, in turn, presented the reality of the schools affiliated with the Directorate of Education of the Northern Jordan Valley, pointing to the most prominent school projects that have been received and the priority projects for developing the educational process.
The meeting, which was attended by the head of the educational development council for the schools of the district, Abdul Rahman Al-Tubaishi, included a discussion on the priorities of the educational sector to develop its infrastructure and activate coordination and participatory mechanisms with the provincial council for this purpose.
