Then he sang for Palestine..then a song that I wanted and I invented it..then his song, I wish I was...and then the song that the audience waited for. its absolutely hard to forget you. And from his old songs, he sang like this, O Qamar.

* Hani Shaker's concert was preceded by the Palestinian Bayat Choir, which started with a song from the Palestinian wedding songs, "Sprayed with perfume, O House of Weddings."
The band sang from the poems of the late Palestinian poet Tawfiq Ziyad, his poem entitled "Beauty Tortured My Heart / When He Chose to Leave", The Messenger of Love.
And she followed up with a Moroccan song entitled, "Haya, Haya, Gaya, Sfar and Takhdhar,” by singer Hajja El Hamdaouia.
A group of Syrian folklore sang, including "Asmar, the Asmarani Color", "I saw you startle on the threshing floor", "Leave your palace and return to the House of Poetry". Festival director Ayman Samawi honored the Palestinian Bayat Choir.
