Temperatures are hot across Jordan and very hot in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba as the country is still affected by a heat wave, and the winds are northwesterly to northeasterly moderate.

The Jordanian Meteorological Department (JMD) warned Friday of danger of direct sunlight exposure for a long time, of leaving children inside closed vehicles, leaving sanitisers, perfumes and flammable materials inside vehicles and of setting fires in forest and grassy areas to avoid fires.

According to the JMD, Saturday, the weather would remain hot over the mountain heights and plains, and very hot in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

On Sunday, a slight drop in temperatures would occur, with the weather remaining hot across the country and very hot in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.
