Heeding the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), in close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Jordanian Armed Forces/Air Force, has dispatched the first wave of relief flights to aid the people of Gaza.
A statement by the organization on Thursday disclosed that these humanitarian flights are laden with essential medical supplies and medications.
"Following meticulous coordination with Egyptian authorities, the aircraft will first make its descent in Egypt before proceeding to Gaza through the Rafah border crossing," the statement added, noting that the primary goal of this mission is to expedite the delivery of vital medical provisions to the medical facilities operating within Gaza.
This operation aligns precisely with the pressing requirements, as communicated by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, with the aim of ensuring the sustained delivery of medical treatments and emergency aid within the complex environment of the Gaza Strip.
Hussein Shibli, Secretary-General of the organization, underscored the swift and dedicated response since the issuance of the Royal directives, adding that the organization, in close partnership with security authorities, the Air Force, and key medical sector stakeholders, has diligently executed the preparatory measures to equip Gaza with the urgently needed medical supplies and medications.
"This humanitarian endeavor underlines the unwavering solidarity and commitment of Jordan in supporting the people of Gaza during these challenging times," he said.
The organization has instituted multiple avenues for facilitating donations, including cash contributions through its designated bank account at the Union Bank, account number: JO32 UBSI 1030 0000 4010 1659 9151 06.
Donors can also contribute through electronic wallets or use the CliQ – Instant Payment System to 'JHCOGAZA'. Furthermore, the organization has streamlined the process for contributions through invoices and its official website: www.jhco.org.jo.
Additionally, the organization has partnered with the Ministry of Interior to spearhead a coordinated campaign for the collection of both in-kind and cash donations at various provincial centers.
