Nayrouz News Agency : Jordan’s weather forecast indicates a notable shift in conditions over the coming days.
On Monday, pleasant weather will prevail in the desert and plains, while the mountain highlands will experience a slight chill. The Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba can expect warm weather, accompanied by high-altitude clouds. Winds will be gentle, blowing from the southwest to southeast.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department’s report, Tuesday will bring a minor temperature decline, resulting in relatively cold weather across most regions, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will persist their warm conditions. Moderate southwesterly winds will prevail.
By Wednesday evening, a cold and moist air mass associated with an approaching air depression will gradually affect the Kingdom. This will bring about a significant drop in temperature, leading to a cold and partly cloudy atmosphere. Rain showers are expected in the northern parts of the country, gradually extending to limited areas in the central and southwestern regions as the night progresses.
The winds will be moderate from the southwest, occasionally becoming active in the afternoon, shifting to brisk westerly winds that may cause dust disturbances, particularly in desert areas.
On Thursday, the influence of the cold and moist air mass intensifies, further lowering temperatures. Most regions of the country will experience cold and partly cloudy to cloudy weather, with rainfall anticipated in the northern and central areas, and possible precipitation in parts of the southern and eastern regions.
Heavy showers are expected in the northern regions and some parts of the central-western areas. The winds will be brisk from the west, occasionally gusty, resulting in dust stirring in desert regions.
Today’s peak temperatures will be between 16 and 20 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 7C at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have moderate weather, with highs of 28C and lows of 16C.
