Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI), Fathi Jaghbir, on Sunday discussed with the Iraqi Minister of Trade, Athir Al-Ghurairi, and the Iraqi Minister of Industry, Khaled Al-Najm, ways to enhance bilateral trade and industrial relations.
According to a JCI statement, discussions went over the challenges facing trade exchange and ways to increase its volume and improve cooperation ties.
Jaghbir, who is also head of Amman Chamber of Industry, stressed the need to organize meetings for Jordanian and Iraqi exporters to discuss ways to enhance mutual exports and solve problems facing the two countries' traders.
A meeting for Jordanian exporters with Iraqi trade minister and director of Iraqi Customs will be held in Baghdad, Jaghbir announced.
In this regard, he noted discussions come ahead of the joint committee to be an opportunity for Jordanian exporters to interact with Iraqi officials and discuss challenges directly to "comprehensively and effectively" address proposed issues.
