Arab League condemned the genocide crimes committed by Israeli occupation against Palestinian people, as well the repeated aggression on Syrian and Lebanese territories and attempts to escalate that in the region, including Iraq, warning against the outbreak of a regional war threatens security and stability in the region as a whole.
During its extraordinary session on "mobilizing international support to confront Israeli measures,” at the level of permanent delegates, the League’s states called on international community, particularly Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and the General Assembly to begin reviewing the freeze on Israel’s participation in UN meetings in accordance with the provisions of the charter
The following is the resolution issued by League of Arab States meeting:
1- Condemning the attempt of "Israel” the occupying power” to expand its aggressive acts in the region, including Iraq, through the letter of Foreign Minister of Israeli occupation government sent to the Security Council President on 18-11-2024.
2 – Condemning the Israeli crimes of aggression, genocide and ethnic cleansing committed against the Palestinians and aggression on the territories of the Lebanon and Syria.
3-Warning of the danger of the comprehensive Israeli escalation that would lead to outbreak of a regional war that threatens security and stability in the region.
4-Condemning Israeli occupation government acts towards United Nations, which has reached a stage that the organization has not faced since its establishment, the escalation of attack against UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), declaration of UN Secretary-General as a persona non grata and the public and systematic targeting of UN peacekeeping forces.
5-Condemning the ongoing Israeli attacks targeting residential neighborhoods, buildings and civilian facilities in the Syrian Arab Republic.
6-Condemning Israeli occupation authorities’ digging of trenches and erecting earthen berms along the ceasefire line, as documented in UNDOF reports, and warning of seriousness of these acts that violate Security Council resolutions.
7-Condemning the US use of veto for the 4th time against issuance of a resolution submitted to Security Council for an immediate, permanent and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza Strip.
8-Calling on UN Secretary-General and Security Council President to carry out their international mandate to maintain international peace and security and to put an end to Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Lebanese Republic, and Syrian Arab Republic.
9-Welcoming the decision of International Criminal Court issued on 21-11-2024, which stipulates arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister and former Minister of occupation army.
10- Welcoming the announcement by Iraq’s Government that its armed forces and all its security agencies will prevent and prosecute any military activity outside the framework of state control.
11-calling on the non-permanent member of UN Security Council "Algeria”, to follow up on the complaint submitted by Iraqi government to the Security Council against "Israel”.
12-assigning the missions of the league of Arab states and requesting the councils of Arab ambassadors in friendly countries to mobilize international support to counter the aggressive actions of "Israel” (the occupying power)
13-Calling on Council of Arab Ambassadors in New York to continue efforts exerted to work on holding an emergency session of Security Council, and also calling for issuing a resolution that oblige Israel to immediately cease the aggressive practices.
14-Calling on Secretary-General of Arab League to send a letter to the President of Security Council and UN Secretary-General, stressing the stance of the League in support of Iraq.
15- Requesting the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States to follow up on the implementation of this resolution and submit a report to the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level at its next session.
