CPF hosts virtual lectures on leadership concepts
Nayrouz News Agency : The Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) on Wednesday hosted four lectures through the Zoom meetings platform, which discussed four concepts of leadership.

Each of the lectures lasted around an hour, with participants from the Kingdom and around the world.

The lecture, "Organised Leader”, held in cooperation with Better Business, hosted Chairman of Fine Hygienic Holding and CPF’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees Ghassan Nuqul, who discussed organisation as "a main component in overcoming the current crisis.

"The situation we are going through is unprecedented in our contemporary history, and organisational skills are a must to overcome this challenge and capitalise on the opportunities it offers,” Nuqul said, noting that people need to continue working as if the problem does not exist.

"We are holding meetings regularly, submitting monthly reports and even making new projects; and many of us started national initiatives to form committees to help the government adapt to the current situation; including dealing with daily wage workers, payment of salaries and gradual lift of curfew,” Nuqul said.

During the session, moderated by Founder and Director of Better Business Abeer Qumsieh, Nuqul advised people to adopt a daily routine and organise their time and changing previous patterns.

"We need to stop saying ‘nothing changed, life is still the same’ and accept the changes that happened,” he said, adding that people need to dedicate more time to improve their health as a priority; good food and sports on regular basis to have a clear mind able to combat the upcoming challenges.

Nuqul said that organising time might have been important before, but now is a necessity, advising people to make their routine interesting and create things that enable them to adapt and push through.

"It is all in our minds and our expectations; under the curfew we cannot go out, but we can still meet online with friends and find ways to adapt and stay positive and focus on the positive aspects of our lives without taking anything for granted,” he added.

Nuqul highlighted the importance of reading for self-improvement as well as designating time to create schedules and timetables for the future, using smart applications, agendas and reminders, creating deadlines to stay motivated to finish tasks and avoiding procrastination.

Responding to a question by one of the attendees, Nuqul advised working mothers in particular and workers at home in general to sit with their families and explain the importance of their jobs to avoid family distractions during working hours, while also dedicating time for family as well.

"Discipline does not take from the humane element and family time, but it is necessary,” Nuqul said, advising the youth to keep working on their projects and brainstorm ideas for the future, taking advantage of available opportunities; especially in the medical sector.

Also on Wednesday, the CPF hosted the "Positive Leader” panel, hosting Maher Kaddoura, a businessman and social leader; the "Thinker Leader”, hosting Nadia Al Saeed, CEO of Al Itihad Bank, as the speaker; and "Influential Leader”, hosting Suhail Jouaneh, co-founder and head of learning and human capital development at Better Business.
