Ministry joins hands with CPF, KBW to launch 25 mobile Internet classrooms in remote areas
Nayrouz News Agency : The Ministry of Education on Wednesday announced the establishment of 25 mobile classrooms or caravans equipped with the latest technological means in remote areas, specifically Tafileh Governorate.

The initiative is implemented in partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) and KBW Investments Company, according to the ministry, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The project covers remote areas that lack electronic services or electricity to enable students to join the remote learning platforms during these "exceptional circumstances", the ministry added.

The classrooms are equipped with the latest electronic and digital means of communication and power generators, and are satellite-linked, the ministry noted.

Public safety requirements such as social distancing are taken into account for the functioning of the  classrooms as a preventive measure against COVID-19, the ministry added.

Minister of Education Tayseer Nuaimi commended the CPF and KBW Investments for taking part in this national initiative, highlighting its importance in supporting the ministry's efforts to provide educational opportunities for all students and enable them to continue the education process in a healthy environment.

The initiative will contribute to supporting and strengthening the ministry's plans to implement remedial and enrichment programmes during the summer vacation to compensate for all the educational opportunities students had missed at this stage, the minister said.

CPF CEO Tamam Mango said the foundation is keen on supporting national efforts in remote learning, stressing that it has prepared an integrated action plan in cooperation with several business partners, Petra reported.

Mango said that the CPF's action plan, in addition to establishing these classrooms, includes launching a campaign to collect and distribute thousands of tablets to students in various regions to ensure their access to remote learning.
