King, Crown Prince receive cables on 74th Independence Day
Nayrouz News Agency : His Majesty King Abdullah received cables from leaders of Arab, Muslim and friendly countries on Jordan’s 74th Independence Day, which fell on May 25.

The leaders noted their countries’ deep-rooted ties with Jordan, stressing the importance of maintaining coordination to counter the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and overcome its humanitarian and economic impacts, according to a Royal Court statement.

They also commended Jordan’s efforts in dealing with this crisis.

Moreover, King Abdullah received cables from senior officials and officers as well as representatives of civil society organisations, who all noted that Jordan marks this occasion amidst exceptional circumstances, expressing hope that the Kingdom will overcome the COVID-19 crisis as it has prevailed in the face of other challenges throughout its history.

They commended His Majesty’s efforts to defend Arab and Muslim causes and safeguard Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, in line with the Hashemite Custodianship.

HRH Crown Prince Hussein also received similar cables, the statement said.
