Condolences to all of you on the victims of the Coronavirus. Together we stand against this enemy; together we stand against all threats to our collective security; and together we remain against Daesh and its ideology of hate.
Our coalition, under the able leadership of the United States, has come a long way in defeating Daesh. Thanks to our coalition and the sacrifices of many, especially Iraq, gone are the days when Daesh could claim a state.
However, the security and ideological threat of terrorism remains potent. We must remain resilient and must strengthen our coalition.
Terrorism thrives in conditions of crises and chaos, and preys on conflict and hopelessness.
This is why it is imperative to find political solutions to crises in Syria, Libya, Yemen, and other places. This is why we must continue to stand by Iraq as the new government pushes with its drive to defeat terrorism and rebuild what terrorists have destroyed.
And this is why we must all act immediately and effectively to prevent Israeli annexation of one third of occupied Palestine and the chaos, fiercer conflict, and hopelessness that will be its certain consequence, and focus on getting the parties around the table to reach a negotiated settlement.
Jordan is with you all the way in our collective fight against terrorism. And the Kingdom will continue to work with all of you, friends and partners, to achieve just and lasting comprehensive peace on the basis of international law and the two-state solution. This just peace is the right of all peoples of the Middle East; it is the key to regional stability; and it is a must for global security.
