Government officials congratulate King on 21st coronation anniversary
Nayrouz News Agency : Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Tuesday congratulated His Majesty King Abdullah on the 21st anniversary of his coronation, which falls on June 9 of every year.

Razzaz took to Twitter and Facebook to write: "Our King, this country small in size, big in stature, determination and conscience, today celebrates the auspicious day of your coronation, marking a new chapter in history as the Kingdom faces a vicious pandemic that has exhausted major nations."

"We accept this confrontation with unwavering will and resolve, standing behind your wise leadership in a Kingdom whose internal unity is the rock that shatters all challenges and the lush tree that embraces the sky in ambition and faith,” the premier continued.

"We will, under your leadership, emerge from this confrontation stronger and more resilient than ever. This is our destiny, Your Majesty, and we are up to the challenge," he concluded.

Also on Tuesday, Senate President Faisal Fayez said that Jordanians "celebrate His Majesty’s coronation today feeling proud of their King", the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

On behalf of the Jordanian people, Fayez congratulated His Majesty on the occasion, praying that God bless the Kingdom with more resilience and prosperity.

Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh also on Tuesday congratulated Jordanians on the occasion of the King’s coronation, Army Day and the anniversary of the Great Arab Revolt, Petra reported.

Tarawneh affirmed that Jordan, which has "become a recipient of the international community’s appreciation and respect, is proving, day by day, that its wise leadership and solid institutions are capable of overcoming challenges", adding that the COVID-19 experience is a "testament to this great nation’s ability to face difficulties".

Minister of State for Media Affairs Amjad Adaileh on Tuesday congratulated His Majesty King Abdullah and the Jordanian family on the anniversary of His Majesty’s coronation, Army Day and the 104th anniversary of the Great Arab Revolt, Petra reported.

During phone calls to a number of local radio stations, Adaileh recounted Jordan's role in defending the causes of Arab nations, saying: "Jordan is at the forefront of countries that defend just Arab and Islamic causes, particularly the Palestinian cause."

Adaileh also recalled the "heroism of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and the sacrifices and martyrs it has offered in order to defend Jordan and the causes of Arab and Islamic nations".

The minister said: "The concerted efforts of all Jordanians and the wisdom of their Hashemite leadership have contributed to Jordan’s strength in the Kingdom's battle against COVID-19, " noting that His Majesty during the past three months has followed up on all details related to the coronavirus crisis and the nation’s response to it.
